Issue:
For the past year, the temperature of the fourth-stage bearing has steadily risen to 95°C, and vibrations in the fourth stage have also shown an upward trend.
On-site condition:
The fourth-stage bearing preload detection reads 0.00 mm, and the bearing clearance measurement is excessively large.
Maintenance plan:
Replace the fourth-stage bearing, adjust the bearing preload according to installation standards, inspect and adjust the impeller clearance, and perform gear meshing inspection.
Result:
After the repair, the temperature of the fourth-stage bearing dropped to 85°C, the vibration level of the fourth stage stabilized, and all operational parameters of the unit remained within optimal ranges.
