This recognition came in light of their efforts during the emergency repairs and resumption of production following the breakdown of the American GE ethylene oxide (EO) recycling compressor unit at the EO plant in August this year. The client also expressed profound gratitude for the team's dedication and hard work in the extreme heat.
Due to the unit's shutdown, the user faced the risk of significant economic losses. To quickly resume production and reduce these losses, the user invited multiple service providers to inspect the unit. However, after assessing the severe wear on the high/low-speed shaft bearings, impeller thrust plates, and various other bearings, all service providers concluded that repairs were impossible and that replacing the parts was the only solution. For instance, replacing the German BHS gearbox alone would have required more than eight months of lead time.
